K.L. Hazel Dolphy, MBA
CHAIR OF THE BOARD : PRESIDENT : EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
KL “Hazel” Dolphy, the esteemed President and Executive Director of Charming Ones, Inc., continues to inspire with her impactful journey in social service. Ms. Dolphy has been in social service since 1999. She first started as a Case Manager in the foster care system then she later became a Child Protective Specialist removing children stricken by abuse and neglect and moved on to working for a shelter as a Case Manager.
With a degree in Forensic Psychology and a Master’s in Business, Ms. Dolphy is dedicated to not only using her academic knowledge but also her years of experience in social service to aid those who are going through a transition in their lives.
Her innovative solutions to address homelessness have led to the establishment of three transitional homes, providing essential support to twenty individuals facing housing disparities. This initiative has been recognized as a beacon of hope for the community.
Leveraging her expertise and the talents of Charming Ones, Inc.’s board of directors, Ms. Dolphy has strategically expanded the organization’s goals, aiming to broaden its services and impact, thereby becoming a trailblazer in social welfare.
Each step of Hazel’s journey radiates a profound commitment to alleviating societal afflictions and championing the cause of the marginalized. Hazel’s unwavering dedication and visionary leadership epitomize a profound commitment to uplifting communities and catalyzing meaningful change.
Hazel is a 14-year-old vegan who enjoys cooking vegan Jamaican cuisine meals, playing and teaching her son who is homeschooled, and doing fun workouts like boxing.
Terry-Ann Taylor-Beckford, M.S. Ed.
VICE PRESIDENT
Terry-Ann Taylor-Beckford is a multifaceted individual, recognized as both a distinguished author and an esteemed educator. As a board member of Charming Ones Inc., she demonstrates her commitment to making a positive impact within her community. With a wealth of experience spanning over 15 years in education, Terry-Ann has served as a dedicated teacher, specializing in college preparation for high school students.
Her passion for fostering growth extends to working with special needs students, which she finds immensely rewarding. Terry Ann’s academic journey led her to Hunter College in New York City, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts. She continued her education at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York, obtaining a master’s degree in education.
Terry-Ann joins Charming Ones, Inc. with a profound mission to uplift homeless and displaced individuals, empowering them to thrive academically despite their challenging circumstances. As a dedicated advocate for education equity, she offers support tailored to each person’s unique needs. Terry-Ann does not just inspire renewed hope; she equips them with practical resources and strategies to overcome educational barriers. From personalized tutoring to access to educational technology and resources, she ensures that every individual has the opportunity to unlock their full potential and achieve academic success.
Judy-Ann Chung, MBA
TREASURER
Judy-Ann Chung, an accomplished Senior Financial Services Leader, boasts extensive expertise across diverse risk domains, including regulatory, operations, fraud, vendor, political, reputational, and environmental aspects. In her role, she excels in developing and implementing robust control frameworks within retail and institutional brokerage operations, fostering collaboration with regulatory, compliance, and audit departments. Noteworthy accomplishments include restructuring Risk & Control frameworks, resolving substantial receivables, conducting fraud prevention assessments, and coaching on internal control policies. Amid the COVID-19 challenges, Judy-Ann actively contributes to special risk initiatives, identifying emerging trends and gaps. Additionally, she serves as Treasurer for Charming Ones, Inc. nonprofit, leveraging her financial acumen to manage funds, plan finances, and present financial reports, further enriching her diverse skill set. Judy-Ann’s commitment extends beyond her professional endeavors as she empowers female leaders and high performers through training and development guided by her key-initiative, Activate Your Brilliance™ courses.
Fay Wright
SECRETARY
Fay Wright, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in nursing homes and NYU Langone Hospital, is now retired and ecstatic to serve as the secretary for Charming Ones, Inc. nonprofit. Leveraging her extensive background in healthcare, Fay deeply empathizes with the clientele and understands their needs. In her role as secretary, she efficiently manages administrative tasks, ensuring smooth communication within the organization. Beyond her duties, Fay volunteers to teach workshops on CNA skills, reflecting her passion for sharing knowledge and benefiting others in the healthcare field. Her dedication to excellence and compassionate approach makes her a valuable asset to both Charming Ones, Inc. nonprofit and the community.
Bella Ivory
Member Of The Charming Ones Board Of Directors
Bella Ivory is a member of the Charming Ones Board of Directors. She is an actress and has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild for nine years. She also has a degree in sports medicine and has been a NASM certified personal trainer for over eight years.
She started mentoring ten years ago in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio for the Martha Vance Arts and Education Foundation. There she helped empower and motivate young women to live to their highest potential.
Bella has a passion for empowering individuals and teaching them to be independent thinkers who live life ON PURPOSE, these strengths made her a great fit for Charming Ones, Inc.
Bella’s strengths are her giving nature, her ability to empathize rather than pity, her inability to tolerate injustice, and her need to stand up for what she knows is right.
Devon W. Taylor, M.S.
Member Of The Charming Ones Board Of Directors
Devon W. Taylor was born in Georgetown, Guyana but grew up in Brooklyn, NY and entered the Air Force in September 1996. Upon his enlistment he worked as an Aviation Resource Manager for 20 years. He also worked as the 11 Wing Assistant Community Service Coordinator, serving as the assistant executive director for all Air Force level programs in the National Capitol Region. He served his country honorably for 22 years before retiring in the grade on Master Sergeant (E7) in October 2018.
Devon currently holds a Master of Science Degree in Aerospace Administration and Logistics, Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, Associates of Science in Aviation Management. Devon is currently a DOD Contractor for the United States Air Force, Director of Civil Engineer office at the Pentagon. In this position, he serves as the Workflow team lead, managing a five member team. He also serves as the Primary integrator/approver for five divisions, synchronizing inbound/outbound staff packages, and congressional task. Additionally, he provides oversight, strategy, policy, and guidance for 183 Air Force bases & 51K Civil Engineer personnel operating a $297B facility & infrastructure plant.
Devon was a Deputy Community Support Coordinator and find that serving on the Board of Directors for Charming Ones, Inc. is in great alignment. In addition, Devon was a Master Resiliency Trainer while in the Air Force.
In his spare, Devon likes to listen to music, workout and research how different companies began.
Dr. Denise Nicholson, Ph.D.

Dr. Denise Nicholson, board-certified nurse practitioner, who has earned her doctorate at Pace University. Denise is the co-founder of Knitted Together, a women’s empowerment organization, specializes in healing from past traumas through therapeutic storytelling and tailored programs. Additionally, she founded Seeds of Opportunity, a nonprofit aiding children in need by providing essential living resources and educational support. Her expertise extends to inspirational speaking, leveraging her gift of storytelling to inspire audiences.
Despite facing numerous obstacles, Denise triumphed as a graduate of Pace University and holds licenses as a Nurse Practitioner. She is also an accomplished author and entrepreneur. As a board member of Charming Ones, Inc. nonprofit, Denise brings her extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and community empowerment to drive impactful initiatives and foster positive change within the organization’s mission.
